an unhinged playlist
There haven’t been enough hours in the days of new parenthood to write a proper blog post, but I have been using music as a way to feel through these times and thought I’d share some tunes with you.
When the world feels like a lot I am reminded to crouch down and look at all the life teeming around me. Joanna Macy describes active hope as “finding and offering our role in the collective transition, or Great Turning, towards a society and way of being that support the flourishing of life.”
I am able to find my back to this role through music, dancing with people, supporting my neighbors, being with family, eating with people, being in nature…the juicy life stuff. My work as a therapist is a huge part of what brings me purpose and makes me feel human. Thank you for being a part of what makes me, me.
As my grandma would always say, “well aaannn yyyyy way!” Here is a playlist that is silly and not very cohesive and full of songs that help me feel the big feelings and also have fun and dance in my car. Enjoy!!
